Looking for an Extra Challenge?
The Esteem Competition Team is designed for the dedicated dancer. We look for dancers who are enthusiastic in advancing their skills, bonding with teammates, learning sportsmanship and building excellent athleticism in a positive and supportive environment!
We take it upon ourselves to nurture the talent that walks through our doors, and are dedicated to each of our dancers on a personal level. We regulate our class and team sizes to allow for student-centered learning, which in turn accelerates their skills.
Our competition dancers attend 1-2 conventions in the fall and attend 3-4 regional competitions February-May. We attend nationals annually every June in Wisconsin Dells.
***Competition clinics for the 2024/2025 season begin July 8th. Final auditions begin the week of July 31st.

HIGH SCHOOL DANCE TEAM DANCERS!

The Competition Team is open to students both boys and girls 5 years and older. We offer boys only teams too!
Auditions are required.
Our team competes at many different age groups and levels in both regional and national competitions. We compete in a variety of styles of dance including:

Competition Information for Summer 2024
July 10th-August
Competition Clinics July 8th-July 31st
Dancer will attend twice a week for dance audition choreography, technique/conditioning and tumbling. We know summer is a time for travel and we love that, please do your best to be at as many classes as you can. We request that you let us know if you plan to be absent.
Competition Audition Night July 31st
Audition times will be in the evening during your weekly scheduled time. If we need more time we will notify you immediately. All dancers should wear black leotards and tan tights for auditions. Hair should be pulled into a tight ponytail so that it is not distracting. We want dancers to come in feeling they're best and confident. Dancers will be notified via email over the weekend following audition week.
Please attend during your regular clinic time Wednesday, July 31st.
CHOREOGRAPHY WEEKS August 12th-23rd
Choreography team times will be both day and evening. Teams will come in between These times will be slotted once we have an idea of how many dancers will be auditioning and how many teams we will have for the 2024/25 Season. Please keep these weeks open for choreography. It is very important that your dancer is here to learn their routines. This sets everyone up for a successful season. This schedule will be emailed out with your team placement.
***This year we will also be doing professional team pictures during those weeks.
Auditioning for the comp team does not lock you in for competition or guarantee a spot with the Esteem Competition Team.
